Portrait of a Volunteer, Portrait of a Customer – Smithfield Soup Kitchen

January saw myself and Chris cover a feature story on Dublin’s homeless scene.
Heres a portrait shot of one of the volunteers of the Smithfield Soup Kitchen, for a story in Totally Dublin Magazine released April 2011.

My partner in Crime and writer (Chris G) has most of the details about this first gentleman, but from what I can remember this man has helped out for over 15 years in the kitchens and commended the respect of his regulars.

A Customer

As for our second Portrait, this bloke, was the nicest and most mild mannered person I’d ever met. Very excited to be getting his picture taken he ran around the hall grabbing all of his friends for a photo too.

In the end, he was kind enough to let me photograph him on his own, a true character.
